Installation and Use
Installation Steps
Before installation, ensure that the site surface is level, clean, and structurally sound. Use the provided mounting template to accurately mark and drill the base holes. Power and communication cables should be routed through protective conduits beneath the unit, and all wiring must comply with local electrical standards. It is essential to isolate the power supply before performing any wiring to prevent electrical hazards.
Once the turnstile cabinet is positioned, secure it to the floor using expansion bolts. Open the top cover to access the internal terminals, then connect the power input, motor drive, access control devices, and communication interfaces such as RS485, Wiegand, or dry contact. After wiring, verify all connections before powering on the device.
Upon activation, the tripod arms remain locked by default. When a valid credential—such as an RFID card, fingerprint, QR code, or facial recognition—is presented, the system sends an unlock signal to the motor, allowing the arm to rotate automatically in the authorized direction. The system permits one person per credential, with tailgating detection logic to prevent unauthorized entry.
Use
In daily operation, the tripod turnstile ensures safe and orderly access control with minimal supervision. It is well-suited for indoor and semi-outdoor use in offices, schools, gyms, or industrial facilities. Regular maintenance is recommended every 3 to 6 months, including checking the sensor performance, cleaning the housing, and verifying the motor and control system response. Avoid manually forcing the arm, as this may damage the internal mechanism.
For technical issues or system adjustments, contact qualified personnel. Unauthorized repairs or modifications may result in malfunction or void the warranty.
Notes
During emergencies such as fire alarms or power outages, the center arm drops automatically to create a clear path for evacuation. It is recommended to link the gate to the building’s fire safety system for automated emergency response. The drop-arm function resets automatically once power is restored.
